Below describes the architecture of metrocave
Open source GPLv3
Metrocave is open source software. This means that the source code used to build metrocave that means you have the right to study, change and distribute the software to anyone and for any purpose.
Below describes the default architecture. Because it is open source, you can adjust the architecture however you want to suit your needs and hopefully you will give back to the community by contributing your code changes back to the public repo.
Metrocave uses multiple components that can run on a single server, or multiple servers depending on the usage requirements. The web server that is used to display and organize the data uses django and runs ontop of nginx. A seperate instance runs the speech recognition engine that processes audio that is piped in through the phone lines. The speech engine can be distributed on a single or multiple servers. The transcriptions are sent to the web server to be analyzed by the system to generate useful metrics where the user can then view them. This is all done in real time as audio is processed and updates on the web server and displayed to the appropriate users in real time.
